M-DCPS abides by the rules and guidelines of the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

M-DCPS Science Fair Rules (ISEF Rules and Guidelines):

It is necessary to complete and submit all forms and the online registration in order to participate in the science fair.

Registration Packet

The Registration Packet consists of the following materials:
• All required forms completed and signed per project. Please keep the documents for each entry separate (staple or clip). Note: Maxiumum number of 15 entries per school.
• A copy of a completed Invoice Receipt.
• Payment (Check or Money Order) reflecting the number of entries.

Project /Entry fee

• $15 per project, or research paper, or bridge
• There is a maximum of 15 projects/entries per school
• Make checks or money-orders payable to:  MECA
• Include check in the packet with all the necessary forms.

1.  Complete all the necessary forms per project

Forms needed to participate in the M-DCPS Science and Engineering Fair:

• Form 1A (including Research Plan)
• Abstract Form with additional information
• Form 1B
• Form 1C
• Form 2
• Form 3
• Form 4( including Sample of Informed Consent)
• Forms 5A and 5B
• Form 6A
• Form 6B
• Form 7
• Invoice Receipt



Please review the Rules and Guidelines 2010 Handbook for complete information on which forms are necessary for your project.

2.  Submit the online registration by 12/07/2009. Once all the forms are filled out it is necessary to complete the online registration no later than Monday December 7, 2009.Online Registration will be available from November 2nd, 2009 through December 7, 2009. 3.  Mail the necessary forms. All projects must have all the necessary forms completed and must be received by the District office no later than Thursday December 10, 2009.
